Frequently Asked Questions

"What song best describes your work ethic?"

"All That Matters" by Kolsh. Because no matter what..."You need to get out there on your own. Make your own mind up, let your soul go..." In other words, I depend on myself to get out into this world with a positive mindset, attainable goals, and to take stride in whatever curveballs life may throw.

"If you could transport yourself anywhere instantly, where would you go and why?"

Tokyo for sure!!! I've been fortunate enough to visit and live in Japan twice in my life. Tokyo is a city that is exciting and alive 24 hours a day, 365 days out of the year. The city exudes an energy like no other. The food is incredible, the culture is fascinating, and the people are so respectful of one another and their environment. Whether sitting at a cyber cafe in the Akihabara district, or taking in the sites at the magnificent Sensoji Temple, I found there is much to learn from this amazing place on earth.

"What superhero would you be and why?"

Supergirl, hands down. She has flight capabilities, superhuman strength and speed, invulnerability, heat vision, super hearing, x-ray vision, telescopic and microscopic vision, and super breath. Who wouldn't want to be capable of all those super cool traits?

"What has been your best work that you are most proud of?"

When your Senior Art Director asks if you want to be a part of a major project that involves history in the making, you don't say no. I was asked to provide Art Direction for the "Summer 2013 Monstrous Announcement" event held inside the theme park Epcot at Walt Disney World. The production team was tasked to create a stage with a very animated Mike Wazowski, the lead character from the films Monster's Inc. and Monster's University, and project him onto the attraction Spaceship Earth as the backdrop.

Something of this detail, scope, and magnitude had never been done before. I was humbled, yet excited, and I spent the following 8 weeks working with Pixar, illustrating renderings, and organizing scenic pieces that would eventually become a staged atmosphere directly in front of the attraction where executives would stand during this spectacular evening.

The event went off without a hitch and became one of the most talked about moments of the year, not to mention recipient of the 2013 Event Technology award for "Best Use of Projection Mapping."

"What is one goal you’d like to accomplish during your lifetime?"

What?! Only one??? I have so many! But ok, here goes... I love being involved with anything that is a challenge especially where my goals are concerned and heli skiing over the Canadian Rockies is no exception. Sure I'd be surrounded by a great team of enthusiasts and a fearless leader of a guide, but it's stepping out into the unknown and then the surging feeling of an awesome accomplishment afterwards that is the best part. I've discovered that risk taking is essential in life as it gives us the confidence to become better people and force us to go to the unknown, and jump out of our comfort zones... Or, in my case, out of a helicopter.
